CALUPOZZ®

Is a blend of highly reactive metakaolin METACAL® (alumino-silicate pozzolan (Al2O3 ,2 SiO2), CALUMEX® CSA and special organic additives that introduced in a cement matrix gives;

• reduced primary efflorescence
• reduced secondary efflorescence
• improved water retention
• reduced porosity
• reduced shrinkage and risk of cracking
• improved mechanical characteristics
• better adhesion, in particular after immersion in water
• higher compressive strength
• higher abrasive strength

CALUPOZZ® has been developed to reduce so called efflorescence. During cement hydration calcium hydroxide Ca(OH)2 is formed. Charged Ca(OH)2 ions migrate to the surface and react with CO2 from the air to form the insoluble and white CaCO3.

CALUPOZZ® is a fine blended powder which converts calcium hydroxide Ca(OH)2 into additional calcium aluminate hydrate, calcium silicate and calcium sulpho aluminate hydrate.

Al2O3 ,2 SiO2 + Ca(OH)2 + H2O = C-S-H , C-A-H , C-AS-H

Additionaly modified resins are added to ensure further waterproofing.

Because of its well balanced multifunctional performance CALUPOZZ® will help you to reduce the complexity of your formulations.

Depending on the cement used a replacement of 8 - 15 % by weight of the cement is recommended.
